What is Hyaluronic Acid?
A powerful molecule known to hold up to 1,000 times its weight in water, Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is a natural key component already present in our bodies. It effectively binds water to cells and is responsible for the elasticity and resiliency of the skin. Do not let the word “acid” alarm you. HA is not harsh and does not strip skin like other acids. Instead, it acts as a humectant to draw in and seal moisture to skin. Such properties make HA effective in keeping skin hydrated, plump, and supple.
What is your Hyaluronic Acid made from?
The raw Hyaluronic Acid in our serum is synthesized from microbial fermentation of sugars. This process is safe, environmentally friendly, and 100%-free of animal derived raw material (so, it's vegan!).
Alcohol is a multi-purpose preservative that is considered safe in small percentages. It serves as a natural emulsifier, preservative, and carrier, helping ingredients penetrate the skin effectively. Alcohol is not drying to the skin when part of a carefully formulated composition. Our Hyaluronic Acid Serum contains a minimal 0.5% of the total formula. It is not only a preferred substitute over harsh parabens and formaldehyde releasing preservatives, but it also works as a delivery agent for the HA to deeply hydrate skin.
Are your products tested on Animals?
No, we love animals and do not participate or endorse any animal testing.
Are your products Vegan?
Yes, our products are vegan. They do not contain any animal or animal by-products.
Can I use your products with a Micro-needle system?
Yes, our products work well when paired with microneedling. We have received many customer comments regarding the added benefits and effectiveness.

I have sensitive skin. Are your products safe to use?
Yes, our products are safe for those with sensitive skin. Our formulas have been created with sensitivity in mind, using gentle and soothing active ingredients. Use should be restricted to nightly or every other night to avoid over exposure.
Always speak with your doctor if you have concerns. You can also conduct a skin patch test (place product behind your ear, or at the crook of your elbow, and cover with a small bandage. Wait 24 hours, and if no irritation occurs, then the product should not affect your skin).
Our products are, and always will be, 100% paraben-free. We use safe, effective, and natural preservatives to ensure the highest in quality and performance.
Do your products contain fragrance?
No, synthetic fragrance is not added to our formulas. Any fragrance that is detected is the natural odor and combination of the botanical extracts.
In what order should I be applying my skincare products?
1. Cleanse
2. Exfoliate (when needed)
3. Tone
4. Serum
5. Moisturize (Use products with SPF protection during the day)
Do I use the serum(s) in the morning or night?
For those with sensitive skin, use serum(s) only at night. Most of our serums are safe for use day and night, but always read the directions on the packaging. We recommend using the Advanced 2.5% Retinol Serum at night to limit sun sensitivity during the day.
Should I refrigerate my serum(s)?
While it is not necessary, the serum(s) may be refrigerated if that is your personal preference. All serum(s) should be kept in a cool room temperature setting, absent from light and heat.
Why do you use Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate?
In recent studies, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (SAP) has been proven to be the preferred form of Vitamin C. Compared to L-Ascorbic Acid (LAA), SAP is much more stable and shown to have more bioavailability. LAA requires harsh chemicals and a loss in potency due to its unstable characteristics. Our serum is formulated with SAP to ensure an effective and stable product without harsh chemicals and unwanted side-effects.
Phenoxyethanol is found naturally in green tea. However, the commercial ingredient is synthetically produced in a laboratory, creating what is termed a “nature identical” chemical. It is a safe alternative to harmful parabens and formaldehyde releasing preservatives. In very low concentrations, 2.2% or lower, Phenoxyethanol has been tested to be non-irritating, non-sensitizing, and safe. Both the Handbook of Green Chemicals and Whole Foods Premium Body Care have approved this preservative. Their standards are considered one of the strictest available. Most of our formulas include less than 0.5%, which is well below the accepted level of use.
When does my product expire?
Our products are safe, stable, and effective for up to two years from the date of purchase. It is important to keep products in a cool, dark place, absent to light.
When will I begin to see results?
For many products, results will be visible upon first use. However, everyone's skin cell turnover and skin concerns are different, so results can vary. It is recommended that you allow four to six weeks for skin to adjust to any new skincare products.

General Shipping Information
Orders ship via USPS First Class Mail and leave our facility within two business days. Expedited shipping is available for domestic orders and Canada.
International shipping rates vary by country. Expedited shipping is not available for international orders. Shipping rates to Canada start at a minimum of $15, but are subject to vary with package size and weight.

If you are not 100% satisfied, returns or exchanges will be gladly accepted within 30 days of purchase date. We will work with you to provide the best possible solution for your needs.
Please follow the instructions below to process your exchange or refund:
1. Contact customer service to communicate you would like to return or exchange your item.
2. The unused portion must be returned in its original packaging.
3. Securely pack the item for shipping. The customer is responsible for return shipping charges. It is highly recommended the package be shipped with tracking information. Any packages not received/lost and shipped without tracking information are not the responsibility of Cosmedica Skincare.
4. Include documentation of your order number and name associated with the original purchase.
5. A confirmation email will be sent when the package is received. Your refund or exchange will be issued within 48 hours of receipt with an additional three to five business days for the transaction to process.
I am missing an item from my order or I received the wrong item.
If you receive incorrect or incomplete orders, a complimentary replacement or additional item(s) will be sent with no additional charges. Claims will be reviewed and resolved at our discretion.
